Russian Stent Supplier Owned by Oligarch and US-headquartered Company

Russia-based Stentex OOO is a joint venture between US-headquartered medical technology company Medtronic PLC and the Renova Group, which was sanctioned in April 2018 for being owned or controlled by Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg. Stentex OOO was appointed by the Russian government as the country’s exclusive coronary stent supplier from 2017 to 2022. Vekselberg owns 49 percent of Stentex OOO through multiple tiers of subsidiaries domiciled in the Caribbean and Europe.
