Hizballah has leveraged apps available on Google Play and iTunes stores to promote propaganda by its media and religious organizations.

Hizballah’s Electronic Media Unit launched the group’s latest app, Sayyidah Zaynab VR, in an October 26, 2018 ceremony in south Beirut. The app offers a 3D virtual reality (VR) tour of the Sayyidah Zaynab shrine in Damascus, a religious symbol used by Hizballah to rally supporters behind its military operations in Syria.
